The six Fire Poppy Jasper beads symbolize the six pomegranate seeds Persephone ate in the underworld, prompting her six-month stay with Hades. The pair stays together through the fall and winter months, as represented by the couplets of White Mother of Pearl that line the same end of the bracelet. Persephone’s six-month return to the surface is symbolized by the six Peach Moonstone beads, and the couplets of Natural Mother of Pearl that follow represent the spring and summertime, brought on by Persephone’s reunion with her mother, the goddess of the Harvest, Demeter.
